Bryn Phillips and other ‘stalwarts’ of the Woodman Folk Club near Kingswinford have been a massive encouragement to me over many years. This is probably Bryn’s best-known song and tells the true story of a redundant miner with an unusual hobby. A song about beauty from ashes and hope from despair.
